  • Harbor Lakes Campground – Port Charlotte, FL

Posted by Archived on July 30, 2016 at 5:37 pm

Needed a couple days at Port Charlotte to do a little fishing at Boca Grand and stayed at Harbor Lakes. Huge Campground with very wide paved roads and nice sites without getting tangled up in tree’s. Good 50 amp and almost empty this time of year, 43.00 per night.

Would have stayed at Myakka, but couldn’t get 2 sites together (even though the place is almost empty) and the rate was 90.00. The guy said they couldn’t get two sites side by side, because some of the transformers are turned off for the summer and it would cost them 135.00 to turn on the power. 90 bucks in the middle of summer in FL, I don’t think so.

No worries Mark. After Truks last trip out west he has since been restricted to no travel west of the Continental Divide due to conduct unbecoming of a Bus driver.

He and his sidekick BA have been banished to God’s waiting room or as some people call it Florida.
