We are looking for nice Bus Friendly places in/ Tucson and Phoenix over Christmas and my wife has called several and they all have age restrictions that we don’t meet.

    Any Suggestions?

    Hi Bill,

If you can’t get in anywhere by the big cities there’s a nice park we used for overnight stops in the hill country 45 miles east of Tucson called Butterfield RV Resort. It’s close to a lot of activites and it was very clean. It’s in Benson AZ. Around XMAS time expect cold nights and warm days.

The only thing I didn’t care for was the lonely night train horns cutting through the mountains, some folks like it.

You’ll find them on the web. Good luck.

It literally has been two decades since we stayed there but we spent some time at Happy Trails in Surprise AZ. We did not meet the age 55 requirements but I am not sure those requirements were in place back then. Back then we were in our 40’s and our coach was 2 or three years old.

But after looking at their rules and regulations it appears to now be a geriatric resort for rich folks with the youngest kids allowed to set foot on the property having to be over 40. Apparently trophy wives are not permitted, and if your Prevost is over 10 years old you will be banished forever. What’s this world coming to?

If you play a round of golf does your walker need cleats instead of crutch tips?

We stayed here on our last trip out to visit my parents in Scottsdale:

Eagle View RV Resort, Fort McDowell, AZ 85264

    eagleviewrvresort.com

This is about 15 miles east of the 101 loop in Scottsdale at the end of Shea Blvd. Easy to get to, quick in and out of town. Nothing fancy, but good power and paved roads and pads. Casino across the highway from park if you are into that.

No age restricttions that I know of. Not the handiest if you are going to be going to places out west like Sun City etc.

City of Scottsdale has Westworld. They have sites with electricity and water, but only have one common dump site. Lots of dust possible due to gravel roads, sites etc. It was closer, but I don’t like the dirt. Also, I think they are very limited on 50 amp power sites.
