I think Tom said he would put your 8 on layaway now so they will be available in 3 years when you need them.
You might have to recharge them before you use them however.

Credit terms are always available to Buddy. He was my local spy at ETLC while my bus was there, unfortunately, he was stolen by Jeff and promised lodging, health benefits, 401K, a salary and unlimited trips to the dump station. No way I could compete with that, especially the dump station deal.
So I’ll use that 100 bucks I owe you Buddy as the first installment for new batteries.

The dump station at Jeff’s is no longer it working order. Seems to have been plugged by rose petals. Who would’ve figured that?

You can always tell a Liberty owner at a dump station without looking for badging. He’s the guy running huge amount of clear water down the dump station hole to make sure the rose petals are all washed through the pipes so they don’t get clogged up.
I suspect that the problem at Jeff’s is that a Marathon or Country Coach owner helped dump a Liberty and wasn’t aware that the rose petals need to be washed through the system.

Don’t I know…bought 2 32″ plasma tv’s for 8700 ea in ’99 and a 42″ LCD for 7K in “05 and 1K for a bag phone in whenever. I learned though….still got my free flip phone. Geo.

While my friend is trying to sell batteries maybe some Marathon guys can help. This is Marathon specific so please don’t get confused and only for guys around my vintage.
I got almost 6 years out of my old Lifelines, they were March of 2011. Good for overnight dry camping to run neccessary stuff but could no longer run a roof air off the inverter so it was time. That’s not what surprised me. While I changed out the house it was also time to change the group 24 for the generator.
The generator always fired, never hesitated so while it is tucked away neatly in a little box in the corner of the 1st basement bay I never took the cover off the battery in 5 years. Dummy move. While another guy named Bernie is crawling in the house bank we are servicing the generator. Both 12v and 24 v switches are off and we go to fire the Gen and all we get is a grunt.
What we found is the Gen battery is looped thru the house and chassis batteries and was always getting a boost on startup. So we found an Odyssey battery under the cover dated from Jan 2006 when my bus was built.
It’s great Marathon has these backup systems but you need to check it. It’s very unlikely for a Marathon to loose house and chassis power but if I did I would of been in trouble. So shut your 12 and 24 volt battery switches off and try and start your generator.

Bernie’s information is not exclusive to Marathon.
Unless I am completely misinterpreting how my house electrical system is set up, my last two Liberty coaches had a similar set up. Power to the generator battery flows from the house 12V through an isolator to the generator battery which is impossible to see unless you know where to look for it.
Its charge is always maintained and judging by the cable size it could also be boosted by the house electrical system. I know I beat the need for planned maintenance and logs to death, but I have a 5 year scheduled replacement for the generator battery like the house and chassis batteries so I am fortunate in that when I arrive at the planned date of replacement I am reminded I have to start taking stuff apart so I can get at it and replace it.
Since my generator battery is in the electrical compartment with relays and other sensitive electrical devices I only use an AGM battery so I am not outgassing what might be harmful fumes in the compartment.
