Booths vs table/chairs vs counters
Ok, I’ll bite. What do you prefer and why ? We like a dining table and chairs. Don’t like a booth even in a restrurant. The best set up we had was in our previous XL non-slide that had room for a table with a leaf and four chairs. The slide H we have now is limited table size wise by the raised slide floor, but still prefer it over a booth or a counter against the wall.

On ours, it just opens open the galley area and gives more room, When the chairs are in place, they take up little space, again making the galley area and isle bigger. Also we have shelves underneath for storage as well as a plug for electrical cords that make things neat and tidy. We also like to look out those big windows while eating so Jon can’t steel our Marathon Patio Chairs.

We have just gone through these same decisions. In our previous coach, we had the sofa across from two Euro-recliners w/ottomans. We had the legless dinette with two chairs and an additional two folding chairs with a leaf if needed.
After some very serious thinking on how we would use the new coach, we decided to go with the J-booth. I kinda got tired for the loose chairs and they made dents in the carpet.
No offense to anyone who has the two attached chair set-up, we just didn’t understand two fixed chairs with no option of adding any guests. I know that the J-booth will sit only 3 people comfortably but we were thinking of having a couple of tall stools made to put 5-6 at the table if needed. We would put the stools in the under bay.
I’m going to use the J-booth as ‘computer central’ as that’s where I’ll set up my laptop.
We also decided to go with two sofa’s across from each other. The reason being is that the driver’s and passenger seat are not part of the seating arrangement. So now, we can seat 6 people for cocktails and then when everyone is gone, we can lay back on the sofa’s and watch the big screen TV with our feet up.
We also have two ottomans if we want to sit on the sofa normally and put our feet up. Originally, we were going to have two recliners across from the sofa, but since we have four slides, the table between the chairs would have been small.

On edit: I should mention that we all have custom coaches and should have them exactly the way that want them, there is no right answer. What works for us may not work for you. -
This works perfectly for us and the chairs fold up for easy storage. We have had dinettes and tables with chairs and like this far better !

Jon… it works so well for us when we have Michelle and Anna with us .
It was one of those chairs that flew out on the highway in Nashville but had another waiting for me when I got home.
They are also VERY comfortable and cheap but look nice… Had to get the 24″ height but they had 3 heights to choose from many wood colors and many canvas colors… a great deal for us.

I really like the ‘director chairs’ as they have backs. In my mind, I was thinking round cushioned stools without backs which would probably not be all that comfortable.
BTW, nice looking interior!

Yes they are very comfy actually, and fold up very well. Thanks for the compliment on the interior…. Liberty does an awesome job as you will see in a few days now !! I know you can’t wait.

we’ve got the breakfast bar with two chairs facing the window. It’s OK for dining but outstanding as a desk for two people on computers and it really helps with circulation since we have a non-slide coach (by choice).
