Towing 2013 Honda CRV – dead
I’m hoping someone has some advice for us. Years ago, we towed a 2007 Honda CRV with zero problems. Eventually we moved on to a 2010 Ford Edge, and found that the battery tended to die after about 5 hours of towing. We recently purchased a 2013 Honda CRV, and towed it for the first time about 4 hours with no problem. We were passing through so left it hooked up, but ran it after we parked and ran it again in the morning before we left. The next leg of our trip was almost 5 hours, and when we arrived and unhooked, we found the battery was dead. The only thing I can think of that is affecting the 2013 as opposed to the 2007 is that on the 2013 we have navigation and blue tooth. I’m not sure if that makes a difference . . . I even wondered if one of our cell phones in the coach as we drove down the road may have been connected. Has anyone had any experience with this challenge?
Thanks!
