  • Air Force one air tank

Posted by Andrew on August 26, 2016 at 10:50 am

I have been using m&g braking system on my 02 Prevost I can get a good price on airforce one. Do I need to install the air tank supply on my coach or will the air out work with airforce one

I think you should check with the AF-1 manufacturer. If my memory is correct they have a coach mounted tank and it has check and protection valves to maintain the integrity of the coach systems if there should be a hose or fitting failure associated with the toad brake system.

    Andrew,

Just curious why you would change, the M & G has been flawless for me with my various buses and toads. Such a simple design as compared to AF1 with the air tank needed.

That’s an even better question. Now I know why Tom makes the big bucks.

I looked at the M&G; however, you cannot use it on my ’14 Jeep GC.

So, I purchased the Air Force One and have been very pleased with it. I did install the small air tank in the back of my bus, curbside rear compartment, which was fairly easy.

Although you may not technically need it, the manual tells you to install it, understanding it’s for all RVs which are not designed like Prevosts, nor would have the sophisticated dedicated air lines. I talked to their Tech team and they confirmed that on Prevosts, it’s not mandatory, but I decided I would install it for the extra peace of mind.
