Wireless Tow Lights
Can anyone recommend a Wireless Tow Light that has good battery life and easy to transfer from one vehicle to another?

I have used that Towmate model for a couple of years. battery life is good for a whole day of driving. just get a second battery, in case you forget to charge your main one. I got mine directly from Towmate. Only issue is that it is setup for the stop & turn using same light as opposed to an independent light for the turn signal like most coaches.

I use and really like the wireless magnetic separates. Buy two sets of rechargeable batteries. In daylight mine last a week or more. Simple to use as there is a transmitter that plugs into the coach towing plug. No wire to run from coach to tow car and no modification of any kind to the tow car so easy to move car to car. Lots of brands to choose from in the $100 range on Amazon and elsewhere.
The only issue with mine is when you turn on the headlights, the tow lights remain on even if the headlights are subsequently turned off again. Stop and turn always work properly. I do not recommend the ones with a wire going from the lights to the coach as that wire will flop around while driving and leave marks on the tow car paint. Ask me how I know!

Just to finish off this discussion. We recently purchased a new-to-us 2017 Lincoln MKX to use as a tow car. Installed a Blue Ox base plate and we use an NSA tow bar with built in surge brakes. For the tow lights I found the TowMate RVHW32 Wireless Tow Light to be ideal. This unit has no internal battery so must be plugged into an external 12vdc power source. I did not want to touch the car’s electrical system in any way for either brakes or lights so used a portable Li jump start battery with a cig lighter socket to power the magnetic mount tow lights. This unit is bright, magnetically mounts just forward of the rear lift gate where it blends well with the rear of the Lincoln. Wire runs under the lift gate and into the rear compartment where the jump start battery lives along with the case for the tow lights. Fast and easy to hook up or take off and the Li battery lasts many times longer than internally mounted rechargeable batteries. Best of all, nothing touches the car’s electrical system, no holes to cut in the light housings and no wires to run from coach to tow car.

For $100 Curt has a wiring harness with car-specific sockets and diodes that simply plugs into the towed vehicle’s lighting. I am not sure why everyone would not want this system. I see no drawbacks. It uses a four-prong plug and sounds as simple as pie to me. Just plug in your four-wire to the coach and then to the vehicle…done.
Here is one that I will be using for my 2017 Expedition.

I use something similar to what Rick posted. Plug it in and it uses the existing lights just fine.
