Soundown in generator bay installing screws
Just installed Soundown in generator bay need to hang wiring. Trying to run a screw is not working. Screw starts binding with the foam wrapping around screw.
looking for suggestions.

If I need to run a screw through something that may catch and bind on a screw I open a hole in the material by heating up a steel rod or phillips screw driver to melt a hole that will be open for the screw.

I installed only 3 or 4 screws when installing the soundown for that very reason.
Spray adhesive (I have forgotten which one but it may be in one of my prior posts) is working well.

I used the 3M # 90 and it seems to be holding well but I need to suspend the fuel and electrical from the overhead and on sidewalls.
Going to try the suggestion Jon gave. -
I had same issue so used only 3M adhesive without screws. Relocated the holdowns for cables etc. to the steel ceiling framework between panels.
