  • Posting and Reply Problems

Posted by Archived on March 18, 2013 at 8:45 am

I see that I’m not the only one that has had problems posting or replying to the forum. My problems are specific to my iPad using Safari and these problems have been around forever.

Posting a Thread: I can’t do it from my iPad. I can compose the message, but it will not send even though the “Post Thread” can be selected (highlighted).

Replying to a Thread: I can do it BUT. When replying it’s easy to get the reply screen up, painfully slow to make any format changes through the selection boxes, and it take forever to post after selecting the “Post Reply” button.

I don’t have any problems using my Android Smartphone or Win 7 PC using IE.

FWIW, my iPad is ruinning the latest IOS and Safari is on the latest update.

More conversations with our web guru Gil.

We have been all over this and we know all forum software at some point has a handheld or pad or browser that is not compatible. Everyone is trying to patch up the problem, including the browser folks. Early ipad software wouldn’t work on this site at one time for example, but later versions, no problem until you made this post.

Part of our problem is our web guy has a range of friends with all kinds of devices and browsers so when we give him an alert he enlists everyone’s aid to see who can or cannot post. It gets frustrating when someone such as you has a specific device, software version and browser, and our web guy can call up a friend to use the same reported, and they have no problems.

    Gil & Others,

I am posting this from my I-pad 2, software version 6.1.2, using Safari and will include a picture download.

There is nothing wrong with the site and I assume the solution is a software update.

    Tom,

    First off, great looking coach!

I use an orginal iPad Wi-Fi connected to the house’s network when I’m just sitting around exploring. My IOS is 5.1.1 and is the most current IOS for the original, non-cellular iPad. Although the product might be dated by some standards it works great, other than posting to this site. I can’t believe everyone else has moved to the iPad-2.

    Thanks Gil…

My wife uses the non-cellular Ipad 2 and I have posted with it as well with no problem. I do know that Ipad 1 folks do have a problem here.

Just upgrade and send Jon the bill!:)
