Exhaust Ducting for Enclosed Building
When we return home for the first time with our new-to-us bus, it will be stored inside a spray foam insulated metal building. So as to not discolor the exposed foam covered walls and ceiling with exhaust soot, I would like to purchase a simple attachable exhaust hose to vent through the wall yet the shape of Liberty’s 3″ tall by 11″ wide round-edged oval exhaust tip is making it a challenge. Has anyone found a solution to this non-typical size exhaust tip?
I did ask Liberty Coach if they knew of anything, and they suggested trying to find a stretchable silicone hose to place over their custom exhaust tip, yet no luck.
Suggestions appreciated!

This may draw criticism, but why not replace the oval shaped Liberty tip with a round one that a hose will fit over?
More likely however is despite having a sealed hose for the exhaust just running the engine without a hose attached when entering or exiting the building is going to result in soot over time.
My garage has some impressive black cobwebs the cleaning lady keeps missing.

Couldnt you have an adapter made out of steel or stainless that slips over your oval tip? If scratching the chrome is a concern make it a little over size and use a wood stove rope gasket on the inside. Or instead of having it custom made take another tip that is the same and flip it around. Then have a band of sheet steel welded around the oval side hanging out a few inches acting as a coupling sleeve.

I was thinking that you could just staple plastic sheets to cover the ceiling and/or walls and not worry about soot on the foam.
Our engine exhaust exits out of the roof and the genny just ahead of the drive axle on the driver’s side. Since we have DEF, no soot out the roof on ours.
I wouldn’t think that you would be running the engine that much anyway in the building and certainly not at anything near full throttle.

For six years, I used the following. I found a galvanized steel straight register duct boot at Lowe’s that would slide over the exhaust tip. On the round end of the boot, I attached a flexible aluminum vent hose (dryer hose) and sealed it with duct tape. On the opposite end, I cut a hole in a 1×8 to put the hose through and sealed it with duct tape. The length was cut to fit in a back window and I put weatherstripping on the top and bottom of the board. I can simply put the board in the window, pull the top down on the window to seal it, slide on the end to the exhaust and it’s ready to start. A few weeks ago, I needed to replace the tip; I decided to put on a 5” Chrome round pipe with a 90 degree bend coming off the muffler. I can just slip the vent pipe over this and clamp it on. This has been even better. I live in Indiana; the barn has to double for a basketball court for our kids! I should add that the kid’s mom, my wife, prefers minimal exhaust for playing.
