    Dear Abby,

I really like the new coach, especially how much room those new slides make for the interior.

But I have a problem. The windshields are much larger and it is really a problem getting the bugs off them, but worse, how do I get the bugs off the front window in the slide. It alsmost seems like I get more bugs there than I do on the windshields.

As much as I like the extra room I find a lot of people get carried away when they go by me. They point, they shake their head, they blow the horn. I wouldn’t mind all of that but they surprise me. With the slide in the way, my mirrors are just about useless and I don’t see cars passing me until they get along side the driver’s side window.

Should I wave back to those drivers? Do they think I am a movie star?

    Dear Jon,

    Thank you for your letter.

Yes I think you should wave back because they probably think you’re Charlie Sheen !

    Sincerely,

    Abby

Jon, RainX works good on those front slideout windows. Bugs don’t stick at all. Also you don’t need wipers on them that way…..

    Dear Jon

Bug splatter increases exponentially at speeds over 63 MPH. On another forum a gentlemen who seemed to know what he was talking about advised a speed of 62.5 MPH as the max. Maybe your foot is a little heavy or possibly the increased weight of the slides is giving you more momentum. Hope this helps.

Jon’s Liberty buddies are all speculating the reason for contacting Dear Abby…… Marathon owners already know the cure.

With the help of another Marathon owner (Alan) we will assist Jon again going through shield withdrawal (SW) .It’s the flashbacks Jon is experiencing due to loss of the shield pick up here in KC.

If he had the shield there would be no concern about slides. The attention would be people pointing to the classic look bolted shield on bus front.

Pointing would be replaced with a…. thumbs up

I am confused Jon, a Dear Abby post in a bus forumn, but then again there is always the ever present thing called thread drift, that is nothing new. Is this something like that?

Another question: When you were coming home from Florida, is this when it happened. Were they “Love Bugs?”

Just this side of Jacksonville, my wife asked me how I knew the windshield was full of Love Bugs … So I gave her the Okie scientific explanation … “Well, look at ’em, they are splattering two at a time for cryin’ out loud!”

    I love my CD Player.
