As I get the bus ready for an upcoming trip I have to do some cleaning as a result of the last trip.

Vacuuming is a part of the pre-trip process and I got to thinking……….

If we track in dirt and sand and stuff into the coach, why don’t we track any of it back out? Theoretically if we are bringing stuff into the coach on our shoes, why aren’t our shoes carrying the same stuff back out?

Surely someone out there in PC land knows the answer.

    Jon,

I think the key to understanding this is realizing that most of the dirt that ends up in the coach had no intention of leaving once it arrived there. What dirt would not prefer to take up residence in a cushy coach instead of on the ground. Sure some of it will stay to make your coach dirty for awhile then hitch a ride back out in a timely manner. That unfortunately is a very small percentage of the dirt. The rest will need to be vacuumed out by you. But remember, once you are finished vacuuming dump the vacuum contents outside.

    Don’t you mean lucky Di?

I’m the one vacuuming the bus, not her.

No shoes beyond the entry step. Not a solution, only a reduction in the amount of work required on a daily basis.

Just get a Rumba and give her a name. We have one called Doris and she sucks up every morning at 8:30.
