  • ETLC Shines Again

Posted by Archived on July 7, 2018 at 5:02 pm

Saturday afternoon, 4:00 in Vonore and I’m getting ready to head west in the morning when I realize I have an air leak. Now keep in mind, the place is closed up, Jeff is hiding in the office and the last person he wants to see is me peaking in the window. I told him I had a problem and I’m too old to reach the fitting, at which time I saw the delightful digital displayed through the tinted window.

So with Environmental Director (Buddy’s) help we promised to hand him tools, rags, coke’s, a pillow and parts if he would slide up in there and fix the leak. Jeff made it a point to remind us that this is one of the many services he provides and said when he got done he would give us each a gift certificate for the marina restaurant and 4 hrs. on the ETLC pontoon boat.

To make matters worse, a lightning and thunderstorm started as soon as Jeff got in the crawl space for the fitting, but it was no problem as I was holding the umbrella. For Buddy and I of course. I thought I was home free until I heard Jeff in a quiet voice tell Buddy to be sure to mark the ticket for a 4 hour weekend pain in the ass rate.

All finished well and Nance, Buddy and I are on the way to the Marina.

I want to clear up any misconception about my involvement in this endeavour,

I had nothing to do with it.

Tom is trying to implicate me in some way or another.

All I was asked to do is get a wrench for Jeff.

I have no idea where the picture came from or who took it.

I want my shop rate at ETLC to stay where it currently is and I certainly don’t want to be demoted, I like my executive position !!!!!!

    P. S. It probably would have been cheaper for Tom to have it towed to Prevost Nashville.

Tom: Notice how clean Jeff’s shoes are.

It just rained two inches on him while he was up in the engine compartment.

Doug, you know the old saying, service with a smile, well no smile here at least not for Tom (The PC Man)

Oh it rained. The way it looked, I thought Tom had used all that water trying to find the leak on his own before he asked for help. Now it makes sense.
