No matter what I do, I can’t get my keypad to take a personal number. The directions are the same in the Marathon and Provost manual.

    Enter master code

    Within 5 seconds push 1/2

Within 5 seconds enter personal code

I also deleted any prior codes by entering master code, then pushing 1/2 and waiting 6 seconds.

    Aaarrgghhhh

Tom mine does the same thing, I think the main computer for the keyless entry is dead. Trying to find a source for a new one.

Tom: Have you tried with the slides in, and again with the slides out?

Isn’t there a smart phone app for that?

I had an issue with my XLII that was similar. If you can get at the module, unplug it and wait about 10 seconds and plug it back in. Try again and see if it will then work It did the trick on mine.

Wouldn’t the box be on the chassis and if so why not just turn off chassis power with the master switch?

Tom that door lock module is a Ford item. There is two codes possible master code and personal code that can be used to operate it. Master code is the only one that will allow changes. Maybe you are using the previous owners personal code. Just a though. The Master code should be printed on top of the module( black box with a 20+ pin connector).

I’m using the master code, it works, so the hell with it, I’ll just memorize. Usually the problem in the past was the unit wasn’t erasing the previous owners personal code, so it wouldn’t take another. On this one, I have repeatedly taken the step to delete any previous personal code and no joy.

Maybe this is a remote chance, but is it possible: Ford changed the procedure in late model Ford modules for reprogramming the code, and that at some point in the coach’s past the original module failed and a newer version was installed?

It’s digital so clearly I am out of my element trying to figure this high tech stuff out. But it would be worth a try to pull up a late model Ford owner’s manual to see if the procedure changed or maybe the ability to change codes was a deleted feature?

Thanks for all the help, nothing seems to work so I’ll have to stick to the master code.

Mine’s the same way. I gave up years ago. In fact, I programmed my Ford truck to the same code as the bus code I am unable to change.
