New PC Map
Posted by Archived on September 27, 2014 at 9:44 amThe new PC map is up and running.
In
case you haven’t noticed for the last 3 years, the blue buttons at
the top of the forum are the discount deals as well as the new map
and new Google search. You won’t believe how many e-mails we get
asking how to find the discount programs. The
map is yours to use and the success will be based on how much input
the members put in adding various items. So please add your favorite
campgrounds, feeding locations, repairs and maintenance, fuel
location and other points of interest. You
must add the lat/long for your entry, it takes just a couple key
strokes, but it’s the only way you get accuracy with the Google map.
Your dues dollars at work…

C’mon
guys, you asked for the map, we did it, now it needs populated with
places we can all have confidence in visiting. Eventually this will
be probably be the most used portion of our forum. What better way to
be able to plan ahead and know that your fellow PC members have been
there before you and approved of the facility. -
Tom , Trina says take a Viagra this may take awhile , if this last for more than four hours call a doctor , LOL !!!
-
Once again Jon and Tom are making the best Prevost site even better. Thanks guys!
-
So now we know why Trina’s so happy…But wait, you’re never home. Hmmmmm
Oops, sorry Tony, I was still logged in as you when I posted this after fixing your photo.. I’m cracking up…
-
Tom if it lasts more than 4 hours first call your friends and brag about it. Then call a doctor.
-
This is where Nancy needs to start posting. Go ahead Tom, let her read the thread, especially Peter’s post, and then let her put her two cents into this thread.

The link for Blue Water Key report has a double http:// which renders it useless.
When providing a description, it appears our Forum signatures do not automatically load, so we have to remember to put a signature in if we want one.
Also does not appear that we can edit our description after its been uploaded.
I like the map. Being able to select on the various kinds of places is very helpful!

Dick,
You entered the http twice and I fixed that. You can’t edit the description once submitted, but we can change it in our admin if needed. The Bluewater has no description, you didn’t enter anything. You can go add a comment if you want.
We’ll discuss the signature deal with our web guy.
Thank’s for entering your items, this map is going to be a real asset as it grows.

I think that a description should be mandatory because it would tell us why we should visit and what is good or bad about the destination. Just listing a name and address is kind of meaningless.
Furthermore, I also believe that a signature should be mandatory. If you are posting information, anybody should be willing to put his or her name behind it.
This would allow PC members to make contact on or offline to ask further questions.
Anybody who is unwilling to add his or her name, should not post in the first place. That is just my 5 cents worth.
All of the above comes from a guy who has yet to add anything. But just wait, I have a few places to add that we found during our travels which would be beneficial to other PC members.
Cheers,
Ronald

I didn’t post Blue Water. Someone else posted it. I tried the link and it wouldn’t work. That is why I mentioned it.
The admin should be able to tell who posts each of the map pins.
-
I posted Blue Water but not know the link was bad. Thanks for fixing it.
I’m not a “review” kind of guy but I’ll get Becky to write a review worthy of the location and sent it to Tom or Jon for more complete information.

OK, here are the changes just made..
1. Your handle will be shown as the submitter
2. All fields now must be filled in or it will be rejected including the description
Sorry Dick, I didn’t notice it was someone else that submitted Bluewater..
