Matching paint colors
I have several spots on my coach where paint is peeling. I am considering a new full pain job, but that is going to be a lot of money, so maybe in a couple years when we are certain we are keeping this coach for the long term. Until then, I wanted to see if I could try to fix some of these problem areas myself. This of course is not an easy task to do, and I certainly want feedback on that eventually, but I wanted to start with another question first: How do I go about getting matching paint colors? This bus is a 97, does that mean Prevost might have painted it? If so, is that information about the paint kept by Prevost? If that does not pan out, would taking paint chips to a body/paint shop work? Thanks.

Hi, I too need to touch up some spots.
I was going to take a piece of paint to some auto shop to see if they can match it.
I will be very interested in what information you receive here.

I contacted either Prevost or Liberty (can’t remember) to get the paint specs/data for our 96 Liberty. Here’s what they emailed me and its accurate:

I am under the impression that Prevost delivers the shell as a grey base paint and Liberty paints it.

I think that’s the case with the new coaches. It’s my understanding that our 98 shell, 99 Liberty was painted by Prevost in Quebec at the factory.
