More information needed. It could be your equalizer, or your batteries or other issues. need what components are in your system and what was going on when you first saw this light.

On my coach, 05 Marathon, if I start the engine while the shore cord is plugged in, the equalizer light will come on. It has to do with two ways of charging the batteries at one time. This is normal and nothing to be worried about.

Chuck, what do you mean it has to do with 2 ways of charging? The light he is referring to is telling the driver the voltage is incorrect which is a problem. Please elaborate how yours works, i am curious.

When the coach is plugged in, the inverters are charging the batteries. When the engine is running that is another means of battery charging, the alternator. On my coach that will show up as a battery imbalance.

Mine doesn’t act that way. Battery balance issue for me is when the 24 and 12 volts are not within specification. If you are charging your chassis batteries from any source they should always be in balance.

Agree, however both battery banks, 12V and 24V are charged together with alternator and inverters. When both are charging at the same time, is when the problem occurs for me. The Technology could be a lot different in our coaches.

I don’t think so Chuck, regardless of the vintage, If that light is on your Voltage is out of balance..
