  • Trekmate security Questions

Posted by George on October 8, 2019 at 8:31 pm

My coach has a Trekmate security system. Found reference to the system in search that the unit can have a engine kill feature and a alarm if coach is not visited for 72 hours.

Sort of scary not having info on this unit to totally disarm or actually attempt to put to use as actual security alarm.

Any one with help would be appreciated.`

Is there a way to program a generic transmitter as they are out of business to order a new remote?

Does anyone know if Bruce Heffner is still a Prevost owner. Found a google search that showed him as having a manual for the unit.

I don’t have this system, but search Trekmate in the PC search box. There is a procedure to reprogram posted by Threegreens in 2016. Manualsilb.com has at least one models Owners manual posted.

    Good luck

On our coach there is a three position switch below the dash. You can put the alarm system in “valet” mode for service access to the coach. It won’t self arm then.

I’m sure the remotes use standard frequencies and encoding but have not confirmed. You just need to pair them with the system.

See the write up mentioned above.
