Diesel fuel Additve
What do you use as a diesel fuel additive.
Have a full tank since Sept 15 and want to make sure no bio grows in the tank.
Didn’t realize there were so many so called treatments for diesel fuel.

Buddy … you’re a pretty smart guy.
Do you know if that stuff did any thing for your fuel systems, Detroit Diesel, and generator? Or is it an added precaution over and above what the refineries and fuel distributors are already putting in the fuel we buy?

Dick, I started using it when I got algae in my tanks.
It was recommended by Al Herman and it worked great.
Used it in both coaches and their generators.
Also helped with the Webasto, burned cleaner and less smoke.

My experience with BioBorMD is the same as Buddys…and I’m not in the business! We are stationary several months of the year, and had the same concerns about stuff growing in our tank, and water accumulation because of the bio content in much of the available diesel fuel. Have been using this stuff for about 4 years now with seemingly good results. I really can’t say much about any improvement in mileage, but it sure seems to have cut down on smoke, especially the Webasto. And no tank problems to date. I buy it on Amazon for $75 – $80 a gal.

I’ve used BIOBOR JF as a biocide for about 8 years and I’ve never had a fuel problem. I only buy fuel at high volume interstate locations unless I’m in the boonies. Gotta watch out for humidity/condensation related problems in the south.
