  • relacing air cylinders on marathon windows

Posted by Gary on November 8, 2017 at 4:48 pm

My windows won’t stay open and slowly loose air and collapse. Ordered new cylinders, looking at them it looks like a simple install, connect and disconnect. Has anybody done these and found a trick or issue to be aware of?

    thanks

I have replaced two (2) pistons. Be careful handling the tiny air line fittings. Support the window in two (2) places to hold it open. You could loose a finger if it suddenly closed.

I’ve done it on two windows. The hydraulic pistons were found with a google search. As mentioned above be careful that you don’t lose the air line where it disappears into the window frame.
