    Speedometer issue

    Looking for some advice on where to start my troubleshooting. Occasionally my speedometer on my 2001 H3-45 will stop working. Everything else remains normal ,with the exception of the cruise control which will not work when the speedo stops working. The bus will continue to drive normally. Sometimes it will happen when I first start up and hit the road, other times it will happen when I am driving. It seems to clear up if I put the bus to sleep and then start up and will not see the problem again (until the next time). It is very sporadic. It can happen more than once during a drive or not at all for months of driving. Any thoughts of what to possibly check? Maybe a loose connector?
