In the NE, Aqua Hot heat has been working great until today. When we use hot water the heat to the floor registers cuts out (I assume this is normal to provide enough hot water at the faucets). Problem is the heat to the floor registers does not always come back on after the hot water usage has been stopped. Is this a circuit board issue? When the floor heat works it provides great heat which tells me the pumps for the floor heaters are work.

While accessing the Aqua Hot the other day I noticed smoke coming from under the coach by the Aqua Hot exhaust (there was liquid dripping on the exhaust). After closer inspection I found boiler fluid on top of the Aqua Hot stainless steel enclosure dripping down through the enclosure and onto the exhaust.

Little History: Upon purchasing the coach 3 1/2 years ago the Aqua Hot tank was ruptured, Aqua Hot unit was sent out to Aqua Hot and completly rebuilt with new tank.

Since the rebuild the Aqua Hot has worked flawlessly with not boiler fluid consumption and or leaks. I let the unit cool down and hosed off all the boiler fluid that was all over the top and down through the sides. The Aqua hot has been running all night then turned off all day for the last couple of days with NO sings of leakage anywhere. I am thankful there appears to be no leaks but a a complete loss as to where or why I had boiler fluid all over the unit.

My best guess is the expansion tank overflowed. But why, it has never had any expansion above the full line since the rebuild. It did get down to the upper 30’s the night before I noticed the spill, being a Florida coach this is the first time the Aqua Hot has had to work in temps below 45 deg’s ???

Yep, Spoke with Rudy. Checked all things that could be leaking, found no leaks.

I had a leak and changed the tank cap, 13 psi motorad, for 6.99. Seems to have fixed it, apparently it’s a good idea to change them every two or three years.
