I have a water problem
I stayed in a Walmart on our way to Branson Landing. I did a walk around and there was water coming from the water bay. (See 1st pic)
The gen was on and the pump was off. I called Jeff, thanks Jeff, and remedied the immediate problem by putting a T on the hose and closing both sides. Problem solved until this morning.
I did a walk around and noticed water coming from the Electrical bay, it’s on the other side of the wet bay. We had just taken showers ant that must have caused it because the wet bay is dry. I showered yesterday with no water problem. You of probably can’t see it but there’s a water pan underneath. We’re here for a family reunion and this sure doesn’t help.

To many possibilities but there is one thing certain. If the leakage is not stopped it will not be very long before the water damage gets very expensive to repair.
Chasing water leaks are a whole lot easier than finding air leaks, but water leaks do a whole lot of damage in a relatively short period of time.
That is one reason I want my bus very close and well protected against freezing.

Water coming out the fresh water fill hose has to be under pressure by your water pump. What comes to mind is a check valve, fresh water tank fill not shutting off or a combination of the two. You capped off the hose and now the leak is likely surfacing somewhere else. Sounds like the result of a frozen pipe or fitting that cracked.

Hi guys,
Once I capped off the water supply the water issue went away. When I tapped into shore water everything was fine as well. The leak happened after we showered. A neighbor said it happened to him once when the gray water tank was full. I said “wouldn’t that show up with water building on the shower floor”? He said it didn’t in his. I was still using the gray tank at the time but I’m hooked up to sewer hose now.
I don’t know how a tank reacts to overflow but it must have an overflow to the ground right? I guess I’ll know more after my next shower!

Harry, holding tanks do not overflow to the ground. They back up into the shower and other coach drains. You seem less than concerned and I can assure you water leaks do not repair themselves. You need to understand your system and identify why you are getting water in the coach.

Harry ole buddy, you still haven’t resolved the water coming out the water inlet hose, even though it’s capped off, something is wrong.

Based on the pix Harry posted, there has been a water leak for some time,
rust and corrosion visible. Just saying.

Jon, Why would you say I seem less then concerned? I saw the problem and I’m trying to find the cause. I see little chance of fixing the problem in a park in Branson, MO. I took a shower this morning and no leak or water seen in the bay. The only change is the gray water valve is open, I don’t get it either? But not concerned Jon come on, I’d not have put it up on the Forum if I wasn’t concerned.
I also found the air conditioner for the kitchen/bathroom is leaking water on the kitchen floor. My guess is the drain hose is blocked. I’m not using it until I figure out how to blow it out/fix it.
Hi Tom, The fresh water problem is solved for the moment as its hooked up to park water. Once off park water it’s solved that I can stop it with the T. It’s just a short term fix and if I can’t figure it out when I get home I’ll take it up for Jeff to take a look. That and the issue above

The grey water tank certainly “can”overflow to the ground. Mine does. It’s an issue I have not been able to resolve but it’s a faulty connection between the top of the tank and the vent stack going to the roof. I just try very hard not to ever allow the grey tank to fill all the way. I am sure there’s a solution but I haven’t found it.

The point I am trying to make is a water leak is ranked just under an emergency and in some cases it is an emergency. No matter where I am, if I find water has leaked from somewhere, especially if evidence suggests it has been going on for a while my day shifts from whatever I had planned to identifying the problem to determine if there is some way to stop it, temporarily work around it, or fix it permanently.
There are so many places that have the potential to leak on our coaches it boggles the mind, but unlike some things most of those places can be hidden and very difficult to chase. If in fact connecting to city water stops the problem that suggests a few minutes checking on the part of the system exclusive to the pump may find the problem and maybe even allow a fix. But if your day is scheduled almost every RV park has traveling RV repair businesses that can do on site repairs while you go about your day.
We will just have to accept the fact we deal with issues in a different manner.
