Do you ever forget what we have?
This morning I went to the park where my bus is in storage. Being that it’s a beautiful sunshiny day I thought it right for a good bus run. The manager of the park said she had never ridden in a Prevost bus and would I mind her coming along? I said I’d enjoy the company and by all means join me.
Her reactions reminded me of my first impression of the bus. She has been in my bus before and knew how right purdy it is, but not while it is underway. She absolutely could not believe how quiet it is and how spectacular the ride is. Then I pointed out the footrest which she put to work immediately, moved the seat-back a little and commented on the view out the huge window and said “Ok Lord, you can take me now”!
She said “I expected something so beautiful would ride nice but nothing like this! And nothing rattles, nothing makes noise… WoW!” And of course she’s right!
I hope I never have the coach long enough to take it for granted!!!

Love the enthusiasm Harry. Its great you are enjoying your bus. Thats what its all about! Enjoy that high fifty degrees youre getting there in Murphy. High of 18 here today.
Have to taken a long trip yet or are you still staying close to the shore?

Hi Jeff, how are you and Lindsay doing up in the frozen tundra? My brother lives in upper Michigan and burrrrr it’s cold up there! Yes we had a beautiful day today and it’s about time. I can’t complain about temperatures, just a lot of rain and overcast days.
Our only major trip was a week in Branson, MO last year and it was a super trip. Since then a couple zip trips but nothing major. My wife has had some medical issues to deal with and between doctors, specialists and visits to the hospital our time has not been our own. Our hope is to get it all behind us this winter so we can spend the summer out west.
How is that Marathon holding up for you guys? Are you and Lindsay going to head out to the wild country this summer and trip the light fantastic? I’ve been looking at your weather and it looks like summer there is August 3rd!

Things are great here Harry. Lindsay and I still love our Marathon and its holding up very well. We rarely plan trips as we are more spur of the moment load and go travelers. We are trying to carve out a big enough break to get out to the black hill this year as we’ve never been. So many destinations so little time!.

Ahhhh come on Glen, you know you love it. As you know I had a problem with getting full 50 amp service to my bus. I’ll not go through the entire deal again. But suffice it to say it was frustrating and I spent a lot of time and frustration on it. It turned out much as I expected. It had nothing to do with my bus. It was the power setup in phase 2 of the park where my bus was parked.
I do take into account that our buses are 91’s. But you know what I’ve found out! Buses, plastic coaches 1991 to 2018 etc all have stuff happen. Mine so far has not been big and booming but you do most of your own work! That can have its feeling of accomplishment but let’s face it… All of us get to a point one time or another of “Enough Already”!
Just remember you built that big beautiful bus-barn and many of us live vicariously through you! Sorry Tom, vicariously means “yah baby”!
Stay with it Glen you’re an encouragement to us all and have been a great help to me. You were even right once!

Hi Jeff, The Black Hills is a destination of ours as well. Maybe one day we can meet at a mutual place of interest. BTW Jeff, Michigan in the winter may not meet that interest… I know you’ve been known to call Lindsay sunshine but she may well be the only light.

We have some friends who spent 30 years in a truck (last truck was a peterbilt 379 126″ sleeper) and have an American eagle. Not a shabby coach by any means.
It was mentioned that after a short ride in our coach it was the best ride they had ever been in.
Every once in a while I think something different would be nice, but then I look at the coach and walk into it. So much more then other options in my price range.

Hi Charles, The Prevost is just different then the rest and as you said, you can see it and you can feel it. I too have always liked the American Eagle, American really did a great job on that coach.
I’ve always been so impressed with the ride and feel of my bus. I was reminded of just how great it is by taking someone on a ride whom has never been in one before. I’m sure the newer coaches ride even better but I’m not driving one. It’s an itch to trade up that I’d rather not scratch! Just look what happened to poor ol Tom. Got him a new bus with a slide!!! Now who would have thought that? It’s like finding out theirs no Santa Clause!
Now don’t you guys start jumping all over me… I didn’t say there’s No Santa I’m only saying “It’s like finding out there isn’t”. Boy this is a rough crowd!

Green Deal. Yep I would like free health care, free college tuition, and free bus stuff. I like free stuff while you rich guys pay for it. I’ll send my address for the delivery of the checks. Heck, might spring for a new coach. The Sky’s the limit.

Glen, I can tell you’re having some amusement with the New Green Deal. I for one, being as politically forward thinking that I am. My plan is to go up to ETLC and have a bunch of work done. Then when the bill comes I’ll simply say “Jeff I was noticing your shoes are making quite a carbon footprint. That qualifies me for free stuff”!
Jeff will love that… Nothing he likes better than to have a 26 year old girl telling him what he’s going to do! Jeff’s always liked that!

Hi Harry,
My wife and I have a 1987 LeMerige that we converted ourselves and even this old it’s an amazing machine! We’re on our first extended trip with our coach from Colorado to Sanford, Florida. We have an 8v92T and I’M curious who you have for engine service? Ours runs great but there’s not as many places that work on the two stroke engines.
