We have a son in Albuquerque NM. We were planning on stopping for a few days to visit on our way west. However, our son said they are trying to keep Texans out, so anyone that comes in from out of state is to quarantine for 14 days. I called American RV Park in Albuquerque where we normally stay and asked if they were open. They said that they were only taking reservations for one night stays, and would until told not to.

    We are bypassing New Mexico.

After evaluation the situation in NM, we have chosen to high-tail straight though instead of spending a week. Too bad for us and all the folks who are hurting financially. I do hope when the dust clears and the virus has run its course or been eliminated, hindsight will tell us it was all worthwhile.

Unfortunately, we believe we will need to negotiate this virus for the rest of our lives. When left indio a month and half early in March, we prepped our place to be idle for at least a year, if not longer. Its sad other countries have dealt with it better than we putting us in this restricted life. I spent Saturday night in Raton. The hotels were full. Getting breakfast on Sunday morning was a challenge I wasn’t up to so I drove on to Denver before eating.

The traffic this weekend from Houston to Wyoming was heavy. I think that many people have decided to head to the mountains for vacation.
