Radiator replacement
Does anyone know the cost to replace a leaking radiator in a 2000 XL2-40?

I would guess the labor to replace it would run around four hours and the total cost would be dependent upon if it was brand new or just recored.

The cost to us last fall was 47750 for a new radiator and 8 hr labor. The chance of it being able to be repaired seems to be slim. Geo.

Having spent a few years in auto parts (NAPA) and auto /truck service I would suggest doing a new radiator.
One of the factors is amount of time needed to remove and replace (R&R) at $100 bucks per hour if recor fails.
The stress on parts of metal in your old radiator should be considered. Using a new radiator all parts are new and less chance of seam failures.
Cost of our new radiator, labor, fluids, new turbo hoses was about $5200 last year.
Would have been $800 less using recor radiator. IMHO not worth it.
Mike, before you tackle the radiator replacement have a compenant tech test your Charge Air Cooler (CAC). Second item is fan clutch and the hard to get at mini air bag.
If any one of these is failing it’s a part cost only. These items are easy to service when radiator is removed.
We like spending your money here on PC.
