H3 models and toe kick heaters
I see some H3 models are referred to as EXVs, some as VIP. Is there a difference?
Also, when we looked at coaches (Marathons, Featherlites) in the Fort Worth area last week, I could not find any kind of control for the toe kick heaters. Is the control for those included in the SMX controls?

There are entertainer shells and motor home shells which is likely the difference in designations
I don’t know what the specific differences are, but for the buyer an entertainer shell is used commercially and it is going to have a lot of miles. A motorhome typically sees much less use and that is reflected in miles which could be 1/8 what will be found on an entertainer.
Personally for the relatively small price difference between an entertainer conversion and a motorhome conversion I would pay the extra to get a motorhome conversion.

Both of the coaches we looked at were Marathon conversions, although one was billed as an EXV and the other as a VIP, that’s why I was curious.
How about the toe kick heaters?

We have two toe-kick heaters. One is located in the kitchen area under the washer and dryer and the other one is located at the rear bath. They have a dial on them to adjust the heat desired. I can turn them on and off by the electronic breaker.
They are wonderful.

On edit: Let me say that the heated floors are better than buttered bread. They keep the coach at an even temp virtually not needing much additional sources of heat unless the temps are frigid.

Thanks, Mark! I looked to see if there was any switches on them in the coaches we looked at, and couldn’t find any. Oh well, when we get our coach I’ll make sure the seller tell me how to turn them on!
Our condolences on your dad, I just lost my dad in April–he was 101.

On most Marathons toe kick heaters can be operated on the SMX control panels or thru the Crestron.
You should have one on the floor in front of the passenger seat, galley and bedroom.

Depends on Marathon H vintage as well. Mine has a kick heater in the bath controlled with a dial on the front and one in the galley controlled with the SMX. Wish I had one up front.

My 07 has one up front, one in galley, one in hall under bunks and one in the bathroom.
all are controlled with SMX with the exception of the bath which has a dial as Tom indicated on his.I wish they put one in the bedroom.
