  Private bus license tag?

  Headed to a funeral late this afternoon when we saw an XLII headed east on 10 through San Antonio. The Texas license said “Private bus”–our license that we just got was just a regular license. Any special reason for having a private bus license plate?

  This is from the Texas Vehicle Registration Manual:

  The “Private Bus” registration classification includes every motor vehicle not operated
  for compensation or hire, and designed for carrying more than 10 passengers
  (excluding the driver or operator). Private Bus license plates are issued on a staggered
  basis.

  Our coach will not seat 10 unless we start sitting folks on the bed. Could be an entertainer coach.
