American Fleet gone missing?
American Fleet had an ad on PC, but now I can’t find them. Did they fall out of favor, or drop off the face of the Earth?

I believe they decieded not to advertise any longer with PC….do not know of any issues…

After all the help we gave them, they decided to spend their advertising dollars elsewhere. We were very surprised, thinking the PC members had certainly given them enough business to offset a very reasonable monthly advertising expense.

That’s a shame! I was planning to there next year to get the valves adjusted, and fix the oil leaks. I liked their method of pulling the engine out–one of my oil leaks is at the oil filter mount/block junction, and pretty hard to get to with the engine in the coach. Any other outfit you guys would recommend?

Thanks for thinking about us, I decided a few months ago that our marketing/advertising dollars need to be focused on our primary goal, which is building series 60 engines. Its no surprise, that the chances of someone in the PC community needing a reman’d engine is going to be few and far between, which is fine. I made a business decision that “reasonable” amount of money that Tom is alluding to, should be re-directed towards our main focus. Since the UMA Expo is in our back yard in 2017 and my plan is to have a heavy presence at the show, every dollar that I am allowed access to needs to be spent on paying for that show.I had communicated to Jon and Tom what I just explained to you, and even went into some additional details/reasoning of why we were pulling our advertising dollars. I had also expressed how much I enjoyed reading the “back & forth” that all of you participate in. And thanked Jon for personally supporting A.F. on another site when I asked him to.Even though I never received a reply from either Jon or Tom, thanking A.F. for our support or a “good luck in the future”, I assume the thought was there, but the communication of that thought was lost in the shuffle of everyday life, which is understandable.Even though our main focus at A.F is building series 60 engines, we will always be available for general bus repair to anyone no matter where they heard about us. I personally have enjoyed each timea member from the PC site have come in for repairs, and seeing the joy on their face when they leave here not having to take out a second loan on their home to pay for a sensor or a tune up. We are forever grateful to the PC site and it’s members, and look forward to being here for anyone of you if the time arises. -
Per just cause they don’t advertise any more does not ,mean you can not go there for work they are the best in the business for motor work or Trans work , Call them and go there
There is no better place period!!!! To take the coach to for motor work

I enjoyed your presentation at Jeff’s place in November last year, and I can understand your business decision. I heard good things about your company from other PC members, so I wanted to give you a try. Prevost is having a hard time giving me a leak-free engine like the Cat I had in the last coach. I will call you next year–my plan was to stop by after Margrit’s bowling in mid-June in Boca Raton. -

Just because AF is not an advertiser, it does not mean we do not respect them, feel confident in their work, or think badly of them.
I have no problem recomm ending them and have on more than one occasion, even after they decided not to advertise. Wehave had nothing but favorable comments.
