  • Silent Gliss Remote

Posted by Deleted User on March 26, 2021 at 1:42 pm

It appears the LED on my remote for my blinds has gone TU. On the last day of our winter trip it no longer would open or close the blinds in the salon, not a big problem, I can do each blind independently with the panel switches. The remote is a SIL01, I’m sure long discontinued, wondering if there is a replacement option or if I’m going to have to teach Judy to jump up and adjust the blinds at my every whim.

Try this place…replacementremotes.com They have lots of old stuff as well as a repair kit that seems to be popular. Otherwise maybe check to see if one of the Logitech programmable remotes works with your blind control. They support some lighting and blind stuff if I recall.

As far as getting Judy to jump at your command, I bet you are SOL.

Dan, contact Worthington distribution at 1800-282-8864, you are looking for a T12S IR remote…purchased mine new in 2016 for approx $53 plus ~$8 shipping, programming instructions included…give it a try on Monday…

Ditto Dorel, thanks, we’ll give them a call. Thanks also Mark, I had already talked to those folks, they didn’t have anything that would work.

George, if video appears it will have to be of the silent film variety………….

Update: Fixed the remote myself, took it apart-wiggled some stuff-put it back together- it works. Have no idea why. Sorry George, this means no video, phew!

    Dan,

Isn’t that covered by your warranty from Big Al?

Funny you should mention this John, as a matter of fact I did contact my warranty dude in KC. Seems the warranty had expired the day before I called.

    Dan,

    So sorry to hear that.

Maybe jon, I mean Tom, could waive your dues for a year to help you out.

John forced my hand, free dues for Dan to supplement his loss of warranty from the garage king in KC.
