Techlink problem
Hello all-
We brought our 2000 Marathon into Marathon Coburg to install a rebuilt (silver case) CruiseAir (from AAP)for the bedroom. During the course of the install, they had to install a new PLM. We also had new chassis batteries and a trickle charger installed that cuts out when the ignition is turned on.
After we picked up the coach, some of the switches were not working correctly. For example, 110v hot water heater turned on/off the baseboard heater in the bedroom. And we were not able to control the temp of the baseboard heater, it just kept running until I happened to shut off the 110v water heater, which shut off the baseboard heater. I’m not sure if it is controlling both the baseboard heater and the 110 water heater. Also, our pneumatic lavatory door will not open from the inside (flashing green light). It opens from the outside switch ok and the emergency switch of course.
Marathon worked on it briefly but we wanted to get on the road due to weather. I was told that the problem with the coach was that the connectors for the various systems were old and needed replacement. It was further explained it would take two techs two days to perform the work. All of these items worked normally when we dropped the coach for the Cruseair replacement. I wonder if the new PLM has anything to do with this or if it is coincidence. Any thoughts? Can I replace these connectors myself?
