Uploading Photos
I’m trying to upload some photos and they are fine on my desktop but when I import them using the tool, some of my photos are up-side-down or are at a right angle. I can’t figure out how to get them to rotate upright. Any suggestions?

This has been a problem Jake and we’re working on it. The problem is we can’t
seem to duplicate it and all my pictures on my laptop, IPad and IPhone work fine. Our web developer and Jon can’t seem to duplicate the problem either. So we’re trying to identify what operating system, version, etc. that causes the problem.Post your photo’s and I’ll correct them.

what you are using, such as laptop, desktop, ipad, browser and
software version. Also, what program do you use to store your photo’s
that you are uploading. Maybe we have an issue with a certain
software that handles your pictures.We’re

I’m using a MacBook Pro, IOS, Version 8.7 (10600.7.12).

I use a PC and Chrome. Anytime I post photos I rotate the photo before selecting it for uploading and they always are oriented correctly. The system always sizes them correctly.
All my photos are stored on my hard drive, I do not use any other site for storage. I think if you have issues let us know not only what device, browser and photo tag (JPEG, etc.) you are using, but where is your photo stored. In other words anything you can think of we would like to know.

I just posted a new thread with some photos. I have no idea why some start upright, while others did a 90 or 180 flip? Mine are all JPEG.
I take the photos with an Iphone and email them over to my laptop where I save them in IPhoto. They all are oriented the right way in IPhoto.

Congratulations again on the new bus. Looks great even upside down. We both look forward to seeing it in person. A friend once suggested to me that I could save fuel if I pulled the bus with the diesel Denali . Safe travels. -
The reason for the photos above, other than because Tom is proud of his coach, is because we are trying to see if the photos get posted in a mis oriented manner. These were all taken with an Iphone, and some Tom rotated and I rotated them back, some were taken with the phone in an unusual orientation and I saved them mis oriented, but rotated them as required prior to posting. As can be seen they all show up correctly. We are trying to duplicate the conditions under which they end up on a post mis oriented. Have patience folks.

These photo’s were taken with my IPad Air. When viewing them in my photo’s the orientation is correct, but as soon as I upload they are rotated. The reason for this is because each photo was taken by rotating the IPad and taking the picture. My IPad does not auto orient nor does my IPhone 6. Taking this one step further, if you send theses photo’s to your Windows computer and save, they will be rotated. You have to correct them with your photo program, save and then you can post on the site and they will be correct.
So, if you’re using an IPad or IPhone take the picture with the home button on the right held horizontal and your photo’s will be correct.

Looks like Tom has been able to make it happen. Now the key is how to correct the problem.

I was using my IPhone 5 which may not auto orient … and my wife was using an IPhone 4S.
No worries, we’re upgrading to the new IPhone in Sep. so hopefully that’ll solve our photo orientation.

It won’t help Jake, they both do it as I have learned.
