I watched the great race at Talladega Sunday and have been to the Las Vegas MotorSpeedway and have observed with envy the backstretch high above the race trace a row of great looking Coaches. Well, they are a blur with the speed fo the cameras following the racers. Has anyone had the good fortune to be one of those Coaches that park and watch the race from that vantage point? I would be interested in hearing about your experiences, how it works are you there for the whole weekend, is it a party atmosphere and how difficult is it to get a spot for a race. It is on my bucket list for the future. Thanks Michael

We were in a secured area on the backstretch at Daytona a few years ago. Won’t do it again.

We found some folks who were in that area were there to party. Imagine a few conventional RVs with 6 or more guys in them loaded with multiple cases of beer playing with frisbees or footballs the whole 4 days next to your coach.

If the frisbees or footballs weren’t banging against the side of your coach, the all night party was wearing you out. The guys never left the secure area. They watched the race on TV apparently so the money for tickets could be spent on beer.

The back stretch RV area should be restricted to adults.

Is that the reason some animals eat there young? I’ve seen those party animals at every race we ever attended, not worth money spent anymore.

This is not exclusive to the expensive RV sites with power and cable. The RV parking all around the venue was evidently where folks go to see how much beer they could consume and how much they could annoy everyone around them.
