Hi everybody i’m new here! I’ve been looking at older coaches( 86-93)can anybody tell me about the Royal conversons
are they still in business?do u think they are r a good converson?can u still get parts?things like this is what i’m looking to find out!and help would be appreciated. Thanks

I had a 1997 Royale it was great there are two guys still working on them it’s called Royale Phoenix near Elkhart , I redid all of my coach just about all the stuff myself it was in top shape when I sold it this spring , you can get most of the parts you will need

I’ll chime in with what I know and have read here on this PC site. The Royale conversions were done by Monaco. Country Coach also made a Prevost conversion. Monaco has been sold twice after the bankruptcy. They are now owned by a large conglomerate, ASV (Allied Specialty Vehicles), that also owns Fleetwood.
I think the desire to have one is their simplicity and normal interiors (not too flashy). They also would not have slides in the year range that you are looking into.

Here’s a good article on Royale, formerly Royal. They started converting coaches in 1977, which puts them right there at the beginning with Liberty and Marathon.

Royal coaches have the Prevost chassis so in that respect they are as well regarded as any other conversion. There were exceptions but their niche was in having wood interiors when the market was shifting towards laminates. I cannot ever recall anyone ever unhappy with there Royal which says a lot. They are known for their simplicity which translates into reliability and ease of repair and maintenance.
