RIP Ben Cummings
A mutual friend called us tonight to share the terrible news that Ben Cummings, formerly of Parliament Coach and recently of USA Luxury Coaches in Clearwater, FL, has passed away
I had spoken to Ben only 8-9 days ago when he helped me with an electrical problem.
I am devastated and cried a little on receiving this sad news. He was a great and very likeable guy and always willing to help. Gabi and I enjoyed meeting and chatting with Ben whenever we had a chance.
RIP Ben, you will be missed by many!

Socked! Talked to Ben about 15 days ago. Prayers and condolences for the family. I will certainly miss him and his Vantare’ knowledge. Rest in Peace, my Friend.

Ben had walked me through electrical issues on my Vantare as well. He was always willing to help. He will be missed.

Have been too close to suicides over the years. Very difficult for everyone it touches. Our prayers for Ben!

I find it completely disrespectful to a family when shortly after a passing it’s suggested on a public comment board….that ones passing is a suicide.

Ben, Gabi and I have not been close friends. But, I think we enjoyed each others company when we could argue life, politics and religion over a beer or two or three after work.
Ben earned our respect and we are saddened by his passing. However, it happened.
His obituary does not indicate any other preferences, so we have sent flowers, today.
Ben, we miss you and your submarine stories!

We are so sad.. over many many years especially our Vantare years Ben & Rick were Godsends for us..He was wonderful to deal with & he always called me right back whenever I called him.. We shared so many jokes and laughs….
Ben you will be really missed … RIP good friend !!

Benjamin Eugene Cummings III, of St. Petersburg, Florida, was born on April7, 1969 and passed away on July 23, 2018, in Clearwater, Florida. He was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia and graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1987. He was an excellent student.
After graduating, he went into the military, joining the United States Navy. Ben was fascinated with engineering and nuclear energy and worked on the USS Asheville. After completing his six years of military service, he left with an Honorable discharge. Ben continued as an electric engineer building and working on high-end motor coaches.
Ben lived his entire life with a sense of purpose, was a great son and an outstanding brother to his younger sister, Christi. On a more personal note, when not working Ben liked to have fun spending time with family and friends. He was very dependable and you could always count on Ben to provide an enjoyable get together. He loved being the “Grill Master”.
He is survived by his father, Benjamin Eugene Cummings, Jr.; mother, Deborah Mae Cummings; sister, Cristi Curd and her husband, Richard Curd; nephews, Erik, Aaron, Justin and Brandon Curd; and many friends.
On Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 11:30AM, a time of gathering will be held at Veterans Funeral Care located at 15381 Roosevelt Blvd, Clearwater, Florida, 33760. A Memorial Service will be follow at Noon.

I like many others posting here, have a great respect for Ben as a person and a highly knowledgeable coach technician. We did not have opportunities to speak often but when we were both at a rally somewhere, or getting service at Parliament, I always made a point to seek him out if for no other reason than to say hello.
Ben was an outstanding example of the fine citizens of WV. He will be missed by all who had the privilege to meet him.
My prayers are for all his family and friends that the Lord blesses each and every one of them with the peace only He can provide.

Sorry to hear about Ben. Spent more than a week hanging out with him almost exactly 4 years ago at Parliament, got to enjoy a few beers and talk about being in the Navy. He was a great tech with a good mind.
Seajet I remember your bus living there at the same time. I have very fond memories of the time I spent camped there. RIP Ben!
