Does anyone have the Magnashades for their bus windshield ?? These are the ones installed with magnets and a pole… I understand they are very simply to install… I would love to cut down on the heat through the windshield !!

I can have one made for around $600… your thoughts on this would be appreciated… we really need to reduce the heat coming through the front of the bus !!

    Thanks in advance… Diane

Purchased mine at Houston RV show. Easy to install, easy to put up and down.

Many graphics to choose from as well as colors. I like plain black. Definitely holds down heat and glare.

Dianne, I think the Company is in NC according to Rudy. If that is the one please let us know along with $ and time frame. Thanks in advance. Geo.

    Diane,

I think you need access to the windshield on the inside up top to attach the inside portion of the magnets. If yours is open, then they would probably work. Mine has the TV overhead cabinet across the top of the windshield, so the Magneshade would not work for me.

I opted for the snap on style, which is aggravating, only because the “H” is so tall, you must have a ladder to install the top.

Maybe we can make a deal with the company. I would also be interested in a set. Sell them on PC Diane, we’ll give them free advertising if they offer a PC discount.

Jerry – I did see a set that only used the accessible inside glass area, leaving the top part uncovered.

    Tom,

The shade is held to the glass by very strong magnets that are adhered to the windshield on the inside. There is one in each top corner and 4 more across the top. Plus 4 more, 1 on each side in the middle of the side and 1 in each bottom corner.

So the the shade would there on the top but no inerior magnets to hold it if the top of the winshield is covered by a cabinet that prevents access to the inside of the glass.

Or your shade would be designed to cover only the exposed part of the windshield. They make them to any pattern you provide.

    George & Cory….

I did talk to them and it’s 4 weeks to get them they just need to know your year and model… $50 extra expedited 2 weeks.. includes wiper covers… yes they are in NC Mocksville I believe… That’s the basic solid colors.

Just editing this since you didn’t see the price I had in there… it’s right at $600 I believe for the basic colors.

    Cheers… Diane

    Tom….

That sounds really good… I believe the owner is a Mr Campbell… see what he says Tom… that would be great !!

All H owners really need these !! They install easily too !! I didn’t think to ask them today but I am hoping they make the windshield covers in 2 pieces so handling would be easy… most regular coaches have them in one piece but it would have to be huge on an H and probably hard to handle… We have the snap on kind but have never used them as installation is a joke unless you’re staying in one place forever !!

I am ready to order mine but with the chance of a discount I can wait a little.

    Way to go Tom…. Diane

    Rudy,

That’s what I meant, they would have to be made for only the portion of inside glass that is accessable on an H.

    Tom,

After I posted, I re-read your post and realized I just restated what you said, oops.

But if you could seek behind the cabinet one time, once the inside magnets are in place you are good to go. But anything outside of the exposed glass will help with heat gain

A Foreforum member stopped by their place in NC this week and they installed everything for them. That is too easy

I have a set of the magna shades they are great , if you have no access to the top portion of windshield when you put new window in get them to put black out on the top part of window , that way you will not have to worry about top part

Diane I bought a set for the windshield and the front side windows and love them. They are not as easy to install since your windshield wipers go up the windshield verticley, instead of being horizontal across the bottom as shown on their website. If not hard, just slightly more time consuming than the videos show, but with that said they are well worth the price and time to put them on. During a sunny day the windshield never heats up and keeps the coach a lot cooler, an extra benefit is your privacy, since no one can see in. The company is really nice and very easy to deal with. You will love them, especially here in Texas on a summer day.
