Slide Issue -Help
I recently purchased a new to me 2005 XLII Royal 2 slide coach. I went to put out the bedroom slide and it will not go out. It has been working just fine until today.
I can hear and see all but one pin retract -rear bottom pin will not retract. Not finding anything in the Prevost manual on this and not sure if they are prevost slides or another manufacturer.
Any suggestions on trouble shooting or how to manually extend the slide ?

RPU is Rear Pin Unlock fault. You have Prevost slides. Does the light on the switch panels blink? If so, they are blinking a fault code. You will need this to help troubleshoot further.
I hesitate to even tell you this, but you can fire the pin locks and pin unlocks manually with those pneumatic switches. This is in essence overridding the system. Bad things can happen if you aren’t VERY careful and know what you are doing.
Is the coach running? full air pressures? Aux air up and running?
There are a set of gauges just to the right of that switch bank. what do the gauges read?

Thanks for the response Marshall…I am away from The coach right now..engine was running on fast idle full air pressure on all tanks.
The gauge to the right was reading 8lbs of pressure.

I used to own an 06 Royale and became an expert on that generation slide systems. I had fits with mine. Went through several slide controllers until I found the right combination.

I had an upper pin stick in my rear slide because it was misaligned. Bill Jensen with Prevost came over to my bus during a rally in Kerrville and had me hold the slide out switch while he gently tapped the pin. Worked like a charm. I did that routine with my bride holding the switch for a year until I finally had the slide aligned. Also, if you get the pin to retract and the slide to open, clean out all of the pin pockets on the slide out and coat the pockets with dry graphite.

Loc -thanks for the added input -once i get that slide open i will make sure i get it cleaned out and lube with graphite.
