  • HERE COMES HARVEY (Harvey the Hurricane that Is)

Posted by Reagan on August 25, 2017 at 2:52 pm

For the PC members in the pathway of this storm… do not hesitate to get on this site if you are able to do so and are in need of help that someone might be able to provide. We will do our best from here in Houston.

We have our coach filled with diesel and water ….. and the boat has been moved to a safer place… the house is ready and we will wait out the predicted monsoon… We would have been long gone if this storm would have had predicted stronger winds. Still, it will do a lot of damage. If we lose power, here comes the Prevost….. been there and done that.

If you are coming to Houston or caught here, we can help provide access to a warehouse near-by for your coach and a warm house here for the family… We live on the West side of the city… on Interstste 10 … 14 miles from downtown.

    Let us know…

    Pres (and the Missus)

    That is mighty nice Pres…

From the sound of the amounts of rain forcast you might should have put up the bus and had the boat ready to go. Looking at the map right now Houston is going to get it too.

Good luck. Get high, Stay safe.

Harvey looks like one mean storm… we are 100 miles north of Houston and can help anyone in need also… we are supposed to have a lot of rain and flooding but our home is on pretty high ground thank goodness… I can be reached by the email address when you click on our name.

We pray for the safety of everyone affected by Harvey.

    Cheers, Diane

Its been rainy and windy here at our home just north of San Antonio this AM. Rain is generally thought of as a Blessing here in August. My insurance company(Natl General) sent me an email and a text warning of the approaching storm.

    So far, so good

I know everyone can see the destruction on television … but we have been looking at specific U-Tube videos of particular scenes in Rockport, Texas where we go often for a week end.

One scene, which is absolutely breathtaking is of one of the larger RV parks. We looked at the entire park and only one trailer was upright … there were probably between 50 to 100 trailers each having been turned over and blown all over the park. The high school is now totally unusuable and the economic life blood of tourisim is lost.

This wonderful retirement community is devastated. The Blue Lagoon RV Park (where we stayed in the only slot that would house the Prevost) is basically gone. It was right across the street from the shoreline.

When we all consider our blessings of this day wherever we are, take time to say a prayer of personal gratitude and please ask for the safety and well being of these fine people.

Very well said Pres and our prayers have been going that direction for some days now. How terrible to have your life turned upside down like that!

I use to live in Dallas and traveled between there and Brownsville and it leaves a pit in my stomach knowing what’s been happening. But if we know nothing else we know Texans can ban together and make good things happen.

As the Country song goes “God Bless Texas”!

Pres, are you and Betty high and dry, do you guy need anything. My brother is just north of you in the Woodlands and has been keeping me up on the rain amounts. It may be awhile before you can get out, keep us informed whether you need anything.
